Productivity suite
Flow Engine
The productivity suite from Apexial Systems, built to help you organise your work and keep it moving.
About Flow Engine
Flow Engine is a productivity suite designed and built by Apexial Systems. It helps you organise your work and keep it moving, so you can get things done and get on with your life.
Your time is yours
Flow Engine is built to help you finish what matters, not to keep you glued to a screen for hours.
Your data is yours
Your rules, journal and habits stay on your device, and we never sell your data. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves the ads in the app.
Shaped by you
We are listening. Your feedback decides what we build and what we change next.
Our vision: we believe individuals should regain control of their lives, and should not be made dependent on large corporations or hooked by products that were pushed on us without our consent. We want Flow Engine to grow into a helpful, productive community, free from corporate influence.
Have an idea, a complaint or a question about access and features? Email us and we will reply within two working days.
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Apexial Systems ("we", "us") builds and runs Flow Engine and this website. If you have any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@apexialsystems.online.
2. Our commitment
We believe individuals should be in control of their own lives and their own data. Flow Engine is built to help you focus, not to keep you hooked. Everything you create in the app (rules, journal entries, habits, selected apps and limits) stays on your device. We have no accounts, we do not upload this data to our servers, and we do not sell your personal information.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. This involves limited data processed by Google, described in section 4.
3. What stays on your device
Flow Engine works by using Android permissions that you choose to grant. Information from these permissions is processed only on your device. We do not collect it, store it on our servers, send it to anyone, or use it for advertising.
- Accessibility Service. Used to detect which app is open and to read on-screen text, descriptions and interface element names, so the app can apply the rules you set, such as blocking certain apps, keywords or short-video screens. This information is analysed in real time on your device and is not saved or transmitted.
- Usage Access. Used to measure how long you spend in the apps you select, so daily time limits and open counters work.
- Display over other apps. Used to show the "are you sure?" countdown and block screens.
- Close background apps. Used to close an app when it reaches a limit you set.
- Your content. Journal entries, habits, rule settings and usage counters are stored in encrypted form on your device, and app data backups are turned off. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes this data.
You can turn any of these permissions off at any time in Android settings. Some features will stop working.
4. Advertising and data collected by Google
Flow Engine shows ads provided by Google AdMob, using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve ads, measure performance and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process, directly from your device:
- your device's advertising ID
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version and language
- ad interactions and diagnostic data
Google handles this data under its own policies: how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalised.
Your choices. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android under Settings › Google › Ads (the exact path varies by device). Where the law requires it, such as in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before showing personalised ads.
Information from the Accessibility Service, Usage Access or your journal is never passed to Google or used to target ads.
5. Messages and this website
- Feedback and messages. We are building Flow Engine around your feedback. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and to decide how to improve Flow Engine.
- This website. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, as part of delivering the site. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Google AdMob, as described in section 4, when ads load in the app.
- Our hosting provider, for serving this website.
- Legal requirements that we cannot refuse. In that case we would disclose only what the law requires.
7. Security and retention
Data created in the app stays on your device, is encrypted at rest, and remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. We keep messages you send us only as long as we need them to reply and to improve Flow Engine, then we delete them. We take reasonable care to protect what we hold, but no system is completely secure.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because app data stays on your device, you can delete it yourself at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. For data processed by Google, use Google's privacy controls.
9. Children
Flow Engine is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will post the new version on this page. If we make a material change to what we collect or how we use it, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.
